MCS-GRiD

The MCS-GRiD is the name of the smart system, based on the latest IOT Technology,  allowing to capture measurements both indoors and outdoors and store these Telemetry data instantly in the Internet-Cloud for reporting, monitoring, and logging purposes. A great application of MCS-GRiD is found in Restaurants where the temperatures and humidity inside coolers and freezers are registered, monitored. In case of excessive values alerts are sent off to the Smart low-energy MCS-GRiD Devices LCD-screens, via email, and via instant messaging apps such as Telegram-App available on iPhone, iPad, Android Phones and Tablets, and Apple and Windows Computers.

Who is it for?

The MCS GRiD can be used in numerous applications. The first application where MCS-GRiD is widely used is for Restaurants that by regulations need to keep track of the temperature of the the food storage appliances such as Refrigerators and Freezers and to make sure that the temperature is at the desired value. E.g. for drinks and beverages such as wine, beer and refreshing drinks require its specific temperatures. Other applications are found using RFiD Technology in Industrial Environments to register goods in warehouses and terrains. Since MCS-GRiD uses forms its own Wireless Network, no Internet Accesspoints are required to be available. The installation is indeed Plug-and-Play. Configuration of the system is fully automatic after the MCS-GRiD Gateway has been setup once.

Logging and Reporting

Daily Reports are be made of each system and sent every 24 hours via email consisting of all the measured values in table views with time, the minimum, maximum and average values. For archival purposes the reports are also produced as PDFs (Portable Document Files) and added as attachment to the emails. These PDFs will replace the need to have handwritten notebooks of manually measured and logged data.

How MCS-GRiD works

To visualise how the MCS-Systems GRiD works, the following can be used. Basically at startup a connection to a nearby operational MCS-GRiD-Node is made. Would this connection be lost, then another connection is established to assure that the Sensor-Data can be transmitted, logged and monitored at all times. Every MCS-Systems GRiD-Node works as a Relay-Node for the other MCS-Systems GRiD nodes in the neighbourhood.

Interactive Status Update

In order to update our Customers on the urgent events concerning alerts based on the measured values of the sensors connected to MCS-GRiD Devices, push-updates are used that will be presented in seconds within the events occur. with the help of our lovely Marilyn, who informs about these events in an interactive manner. In order to get overviews of the system Interactive Status Updates can be requested from there system using simple commands that can be typed within the Telegram Chat App. This way of operation has been found to be superior than a Web-Application. There is no need for passwords to be typed in, which is a quite comfortable step forward for the customer as far as ease of use.

Automatic Data Reporting

Our RealtimeTelemetry and Cloud Servers keep track of the measured data of all MCS-GRiD installations and reports are sent by email on a daily basis. 
The reports replaces the documents as required by law-enforcing governmental organisations, like e.g. the Miljö och Hälsa in Sweden.
